Does the Trailer Connector Bracket Need Bent for Draw-Tite Hitch On 2021 Honda Pilot
Question:
In your video for installing the 75225 hitch on a 2021 Honda Pilot, around the 5:15 mark you make a reference to either removing a tab or bending the bracket. What is the tab that would be removed used for? And would the bracket need to be bent at the weld where it attaches to the hitch? Or does the bracket need to be bent at the 90 degree bend in the bracket. In the attached photo, arrows are pointing to the two possible bending locations. Either way, any recommendations on how to bend it? Thank you.

In regards to the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98840 which is a fit for a 2021 Honda Pilot, in some cases the trailer connector mounting bracket hits on the fascia support tab. This is only on a case by case basis but if yours hits as well just simply bend the metal bracket back slightly and there will be no more issues. The bracket can be bent anywhere, it really doesn't mater. Just take some vise grips and bend the metal back slightly away from the bumper.
