Does the Curt Platform Bike Rack Work Well for a Womens Bike?

Question:

been looking at curt rack platform type rack with locking hooks will this work for a womens bike frame or do I need a bar kit also do you need to strap in bikes on rack looked at sportmans hollywood for a decent price

I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately, you will need a Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 when using a women's bike for the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting # C18085. If you want a solution that doesn't require an adaptor bar, I recommend the RockyMounts WestSlope 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting - Wheel Mount # RKY10222. The RockyMounts WestSlope attaches at the bike's wheels instead of at the bike's frame. With this attachment style, you will not need a bike adapter bar for the bike.
