How To Install Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller2020 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I am in the process of installing the Mopar #82216359AA Trailer wiring harness kit on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, and in the directions it states to tuck the blue wire behind the glove box. from that point on there is no other mention of it. Can you help me figure out where the blue wire needs to go? I understand that the blue wire is the electronic trailer brake, and i do plan on adding a trailer brake controller. I am looking into getting the RED44FR, TPH-017, and the 3073-P. Your help is greatly appreciated.

There are two methods for installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR on a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. If it has the factory tow package and there is a brake controller port under the dash then you'll need the Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter part # 3073-P and Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter part # 331-TPH-017. If you don't have the factory tow package then you'll have to hardwire the controller.
I cannot speak specifically for another trailer wiring harness product but the options we offer like the Brake Controller Install Kit part # ETBC7, the blue wire goes directly to the brake controller. This setup would be for models without the factory tow package.
