Kwikee Motor 32 Series Replacement Motor and Controller
Question:
It’s currently not operational, how can I check to see if it’s electrical switch or the motor itself?

You could use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test for voltage on the input and output side of the switch to see if the switch is allowing power to pass through it when it is turned on or not and also check to see if voltage is making it to the motor.
Since you have the 32 series Kwikee step the kit you'd need to replace the controller, motor and gear box you'd want the part # LC379145.
The door switch kit you'd need then is the part # LC369311.
