Base Plate Kit For 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe
Question:
The base plate description says tow hooks bolted externally to bottom of frame. My tow hooks are bolted internally in the frame rail, is this base plate still going to work for my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe LT

I plugged 2001 Tahoe into the fit guide and there were 3 "Vehicle Styles" on the tow bar page:
1. 4 Wheel Drive - tow hooks bolted internally to frame rail, # 199-1
2. Rear Wheel Drive - tow hooks bolted internally to frame rail, # 199-1
3. tow hooks bolted externally to bottom of frame.
Since your hooks bolt internally (regardless of drive type) the Roadmaster # 199-1 Base Plate Kit is the correct fit for you.
To complete your flat tow setup you will need a Roadmaster # RM-522 "Falcon" all-terrain non-binding tow bar, # RM-645 Safety Cables, # RM-152-98146-7 Universal wiring kit for your lighting, and Brake Buddy # HM39524 Supplemental Braking System.
