Landing Gear Will Only Retract & Not Extend

Question:

I have a 2015 grand design the front landing gear only works in the retract mode . Tried new switch no luck only works in the the lowering of the unit. Thanks

If your landing gear only retracts and doesn't extend, the first thing I always recommend is to check and ensure the battery powering the unit is fully charged. This is a simple thing to suggest, but a lot of people overlook it so it is something worth mentioning.

Also be sure to check the ground wiring to ensure it is good, as that can also affect the ability of the landing gear to extend. However, if all your wiring is good, the battery is charged, and you replaced the switch, the only other issue that may be occurring is there is an internal problem with the actual legs, and depending on the jack you have, there may be a repair kit.
