Will the Thule Passage 2 Bike Rack fit a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle

Question:

I have a 2005 Volkswagen beetle and I looking for a bike rack that can be attached to the trunk rather than the roof of the car. I am 68 years old and there is no way i would be able to get my bike on or off the roof of the car. My bike is a womens bike with no cross bar. I understand from reading the comments another person had the same issue and you came up with a solution for it but did not say what is was. Any information you could give me would really be appreciated. I have gained weight over this blasted Minnesota winter and need to get out there a ride them trails!!

I checked with Thule and the Thule Passage 2 Bike Carrier # TH910XT that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2005 Volkswagen Beetle and should work well to carry your bike with a horizontal top tube as long as you get a Thule Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT.

The # TH982XT attaches from the seat post to the steering stem to provide a horizontal attachment point for the bike to attach to. Check out the link to the review video I attached for this product.

I attached a review video for the # TH910XT for you to check out also.
