Troubleshooting An Atwood G6A 8E Not Staying Lit

Question:

Last trip heater worked for about 2 hours. then when I tried to relight it, I could hear ignition whoosh but it would not stay lit. Thinking about replacing thermostat with adjustable if you have it available.

It sounds like your Atwood G6A 8E needs a new gas regulator which you can find with the Replacement Gas Regulator for Atwood Gas RV Water Heaters # 91602. We do not currently carry the thermostat replacement.

Note: you'll need to have a licensed technician perform all replacement work on your Atwood G6A 8E water heater.
