Will the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack Work with a Bachhetta Giro 20 and a Giant Step-Through Bike?

Question:

Can you tell me if I can use this to transport a Bacchetta Giro 20. I am concerned about securing it with the frame hook. I dont think the car matters but it is a 2016 Honda CRV. Id also be carrying a Giant step thru frame hybrid. Thank you.

I did some research into your Bacchetta Giro 20 and your Giant step-through frame bike. The Bachetta Giro 20 can be secured safely by the use of the height-adjustable ratcheting hooks on the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085. As far as the Giant, as long as the bike has some kind of upper bar (as opposed to lacking an upper bar like on the Trek Verve Low-Step models) the ratcheting hooks will attach. If your Giant does not have any upper bar, I recommend the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter # 64005. The bike adapter will give your bike a straight horizonal frame that is needed to secure to the ratcheting hooks.
