Should Hood be Open When Using GENIUS1 Battery Charger

Question:

I have a 2007 Grand Prix that isnt driven much. I have decided to use the NOCO Genius 1 as a trickle charger. Is it okay to use this product for long-term battery maintenance with the battery in the car and the hood closed? The instructions say lead-acid batteries can release flammable gas and to use it in a well ventilated area. Im not sure if a closed-hood environment meets these requirements. Thanks!

You will want to make sure your hood is open at least somewhat when using the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger - 1 Amp # 329-GENIUS1.

This will be the safest way to use the charger; the hood doesn't have to be totally open but if you can at least prop it up somewhat you will definitely want to do that.

I have added a link to the instructions and a video review below to check out of the NOCO Genius Smart Battery Charger - 1 Amp # 329-GENIUS1.
