Weight Distribution Hitch For a 2020 Forest River Cherokee Being Pulled By a 2020 Ford F-250

Question:

I will be towing with a 2020 F250 super duty with a factory hitch. The factor hitch has a 3inch receiver. I noticed in the product description for the Reese straight line that it says it fits a 2½ hitch. Is there one available for a 3inch or will I need to purchase an adapter. If an adapter is needed does that reduce the towing capacity. Thanks.

You will need a Curt Hitch Receiver Reducer # C45408 on your 2020 Ford F-250 with the 3" hitch. This will give you a sleeve adapter to reduce your 3" receiver to either a 2-1/2" receiver or 2" receiver.

The Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - No Shank - Trunnion Bar # RP66075 will require the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # 325-GH-1102 to connect your 2020 Forest River Cherokee to your F-350. The hitch has a maximum trailer weight rating of 17,000lbs and will work with tongue weights of 1,000-1,700lbs. If your Cherokee does not fall into that weight rating let me know and I will help you find the correct weight distribution and sway hitch.

We do not have a weight and sway shank that will fit into the 3" truck receiver at this time.
