The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR will need to be hardwired to your 1997 Winnebago Itasca to get the brakes working on a trailer. Most of the plug and play options with Redarc will be on newer vehicles at the moment. I have not heard anything from them about looking into plug and play harnesses for RVs yet, but that may change at some point.
