Replacement Air Conditioner, Ducted

Question:

I am replacing my old Duo-Therm Brisk air conditioner. The model number is 59516.531, Prod No. 991731786, Serial No. 34833240. It is in a 2004 Holiday Rambler Admiral motorhome. I want to replace it with a Furrion 15,550 in white. I need one that works in a ducted system. Also, will this unit be compatible with my current analog thermostat. I dont want to replace it since it is only 1 year old and has only been used once. Could you please tell me which Furrion 15,500 model I need? I will also need the ceiling Assembly Does the control box come with the unit, if not I will need to know which unit to order. Is there anything else I might need to complete this conversion? I noticed in quite a few reviews that these units are arriving damaged. Has anything been done to improve the shipping container?

The Furrion # FACR15SA-PS 15,500 BTU unit that you referenced is a replacement for Furrion only and is not offered with compatible ceiling distribution box. I do have a solution though.

To replace your Single-Zone, Stand-Alone Dometic Duo-Therm Brisk A/C rooftop unit, and inside ceiling air distribution box, and work with a ducted RV, I would recommend the Furrion Chill # FR55PV. It includes a wall thermostat, works with ducted systems, and has a start capacitor.

This will not work with your existing thermostat but includes its own thermostat that regulates 4 operation modes and 3 fan speeds.
