How To Choose New Weight Distribution Shank with More Drop

Question:

Hi - Im pulling an R-POD 3000 lbs with a F150 with a Fastway 92-00-0450 E2 Trunnion Hitch. I need to the shank which came with the WDH to something that will lower the trailer to be level with the truck. Right now the shank length is 6 inches. What would be the recommended shank for Fastway 92-00-0450 E2 Trunnion Hitch?

In order to choose the correct weight distribution system shank you'll need to find out how much rise/drop you need. This can be done by measuring from the ground to the top inside edge of the trailer hitch and then from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler while level. The shanks are for the most part cross-compatible. I am not sure how much drop you need but the Reese Weight Dist Shank part # RP3215 offers up to 6-3/4" drop so this may work for you but if not our full selection is attached below.
