Are Towing Mirrors Required When Towing Trailer W/ 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee In Washington State?
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and am planning to tow an Rpod trailer. My questions are: 1. Do I need to have towing mirrors in Washington State. 2. If I need towing mirrors what do you recommend? *There seems to be several to choose from. Currently the visibility on both sides is OK for the required 200 feet but I am nervous that I may be pulled over and cited by the State Patrol. Thank you

Towing mirrors are not necessarily required on your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee to tow a trailer in Washington State. The only requirement is that your vehicle has mirrors on both sides and that you can see 200' back.
Since mentioned that you can see the required 200' back you are all good and do not have anything to worry about.
If you would rather add towing mirrors so you are no doubt good then I recommend the K-Source Universal Dual Lens Towing Mirrors # KS3990 which attach to your factory mirrors via a rubber coated ratcheting strap system that holds the mirror securely to your factory mirrors while to rubber coating products the mirror housing from damage.
These mirrors can be quickly installed before you hit the road with your trailer, and then removed and stored inside of your trailer when you are done towing.
I included a video of the # KS3990 being installed on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee for you to take a look at.
