Solution for Draw Tite Brake Controller Where Light Stopped Working
Question:
After working fine for many years, the LED does not consistently indicate the power output. For instance, many times it will not light at all. If I move the slider back and forth a little, sometimes it will come on sometimes not. Does this behavior mean that the power the controller is sending to the brakes is not consistent either? Does it need to be replaced? Thanks!

It sounds like the controller has developed an internal issue and would need to be replaced. Typically the light indicates that the brakes are working but it is possible your light just has problems, but either way it's probably either not working or soon not to be working.
The BRAKE-EVN # TK63VR is a step up in terms of quality and performance from what you have now and is very reliable. It's a proportional controller too which means it will sense how hard you are applying the brakes and would give your trailer brakes the same braking action.
