What is the Tailgate Clearance For a Thule Motion XT-L Cargo Box on an 2014 Acura MDX

I have 2014 Acura MDX and have the OEM Flush rails. Im planning on installing the following rack equipment: Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 53 Rapid Podium Feet for Thule Crossbars - Fixed Point Fit Kit for Thule Podium-Style Roof Rack Feet - 3132 Will the Thule Motion XT - L 16 cubic ft fit on my rack and allow the tailgate to open without hitting the box?

The Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Black Glossy # TH629706 requires 47-1/2" between the center of the front crossbar and the line where the rear hatch meets the roof. It looks like you'll have fixed mounting points on your 2014 Acura MDX so you can get a general idea by measuring from the middle of your front fixed mounting points on the roof; as long as you've got 47-1/2" or more then you'll be able to open the hatch unobstructed. I'll note that generally the Motion XT Large will fit on most mid-size SUVs without issue.

The Motion XT will work well with the Thule Roof Rack kit you've picked out that uses parts # THKIT3132, # TH460R and TH711400.
