Installation Troubleshooting of Curt Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit on 2013 Lincoln MKS

Question:

Part number C63CR I hooked up all wires. Car lights work. Plugin and tail lights work. Brake lights act as turn signals also. I did hookup the third wire set to both sides. Do I need a 2 wire to 3 wire convertor? I am not receiving any power on the turn signal wire. Turn and brake on same line.

You won't need any type of converter when installing the Curt Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit # C63CR on your 2013 Lincoln MKS. However there is a distinct process that you'll want to follow to determine how this system will be installed that tells you whether you've got a 2 or 3 wire system and how to install the unit. It sounds like you might have installed this in a 3 wire configuration but there is no power on the turn signals.

I would start by checking any and all ground wires that might have been installed and checking the power supply on the RV's turn signals to make sure that the issue is on the toad and not the RV; as long as you're getting power on the turn signal circuits on the RV we can confirm the issue is with the wiring and not the RV.

Let me know what you find and I can continue troubleshooting this with you.
