Recommended Landing Gear Upgrade For 2016 PCW Sandsport F335 Toy Hauler
Question:
Hi, I have a 2016 PCW Sandsport F335 toyhauler that weighs 10k empty. The front landing gear have been making a slipped gear clunking noise and I am going to get in there and take a look to identify the problem. The front landing gear legs also seem to be pretty wobbly, and one has a slight bend in it. I may need to replace them. The trailer has a 4inch frame lift for off-road clearance, and we changed out the 3 step access to a 4 step access due to the lift. I believe these are Lippert components. if I need to replace the front landing gear, should I replace them with longer units? How do I measure my existing unit? Where do I find the model #? Can I get heavier duty units? Thank you

I would be happy to make a recommendation for you.
Since the landing gear on your 2016 PCW Sandsport F335 Toy Hauler is making a weird noise in the motor, seems wobbly, and has a slight bend you would likely be better off just going ahead and replacing the landing gear instead of trying to fix yours.
Landing get is overall pretty much the same size, with the real difference being the lift. You will just need to measure from the inside of your upper weld stop the the top of the lower weld stop, and from the outside of the upper weld stop to the outside of the lower weld stop.
The Reese Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear Set - 36" Lift - 8,000 lbs # RP500708 would be a great upgrade option as it has dual motors, an 8000lb capacity, and 36" lift which should be plenty even though your trailer is lifted. This landing gear measures 15-1/2" between the insides of the weld stops, and 17-1/2" between the outsides of the weld stops so as long as that matches your current landing gear this would be my recommendation for you.
If you find you have a different weld stop measurement just let me know.
Now if you decide you would rather rebuild your current system just send me the model number on the motor, and a picture of the legs and I would be happy to recommend the correct replacement parts.
I included a video of the # RP500708 for you to take a look at.
