2017 Volkswagen Jetta Hitch Receiver Recommendation And Kuat Transfer V2 Compatibility
Question:
I have a Kuat Transfer 2-bike rack on my current car. I have just bought a VW Jetta and need to know if it will work on the Jetta before installing a hitch. I would prefer a hitch type rack over a trunk rack so if this will not work for my Jetta can you recommend a hitch rack that will work?

My recommendation is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2", part # 306-X7311. It is a hidden hitch receiver, meaning that when installed when you look at the rear of your 2017 Volkswagen Jetta you will only see the hitch receiver and not the tubes of the receiver, those will be concealed behind the bumper. It is a 2" hitch receiver with a maximum tongue weight of 200lbs and maximum load capacity of 2000lbs. It is also compatible with your Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches, part # KU74FR. Your Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack is compatible with 1 1/4" and 2" hitch receivers. Just set up the Kuat rack for a 2" hitch receiver and you will be all set.
I have included product description links and a video review link below.
