What is the largest size downtube that the clamp will fit? In other words, what diameter will the clamp accommodate?

I spoke with my contact at Swagman, who tells me that the clamp on the Swagman # S64720 Rooftop Bike Carrier will accommodate round bike frame downtubes up to 2-1/2 inches in diameter. Using this rack on oval downtubes is not recommended.
