Troubleshooting Curt Echo Mobile Not Active Installed on 2011 Chevy Silverado
Question:
Heather A has already partially answered this question, but failed to provide needed detail. FYI in this case, the tow vehicle is a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado LT 4WD 5.2/auto. Heather A advises, If the pins are clean, You want to test the 12V pin on your vehicles 7-way with a circuit tester like part # 40376 to ensure it is getting power. I have attached a photo that shows the pin positions on a standard vehicles 7-way. You also want to check the ground on the vehicle 7-way to make sure it is grounded to a clean bare metal surface. If the 12V pin is getting power then there may be an issue with the Echo.inch So which pin am I supposed to test? Black battery power Blue brake controller or white ground? Which one is the Curt Brake Controller Looking for? If the 12V pin is not showing power and the vehicle is equipped with a factory 7-Way then there should be a fuse dedicated to the 12V pin circuit inside the main fuse block under the hood. Since I do not know have your vehicle information, you want to check your copy of the owners manual for its location and see if it needs to be replaced. Now you have my vehicle information. What fuse/relay am I supposed to check?

Under the hood of your 2011 Chevy Silverado there's a few connections that need to be made for the 12 volt accessory circuit of the 7-way to be active.
If you check out the attached help article you can see how to make these connection.
