How do the Exhaust Hangers of the Magnaflow Catback System # MF15815 for a 1964 Ford Mustang Install

Question:

We are installing a 15815 kit on a 64 Mustang 289. The question is how does the rear exhaust braket in the kit attach to the exhaust pipe over the rear axle. The OEM one is completly different with rubber insulators etc. The one supplied is a insulated L bracket with no holes in it.

In some applications there will have to be some modifications to get the exhaust hangers to work. Since you have a different style hanger you will need to remove them or work around them and install the hangers that come with this kit.

The hanger bracket should have holes it that will allow you to attach it to the body or frame of your vehicle. If not, then you could drill holes through the brackets or have them welded in.

Check out step 2 of the installation instructions that I attached as well as figure 1 to get a better idea of what I am talking about.
