Solution for Hydrastar Brake Actuator Not Able to Connect to Truck's Brake Controller
Question:
I just purchased a TV with hydastar braking system and it did not show trailer connected on dash. The truck is a 2013 chevy 3500 h d diesel . The rv dealer install two brake magnets in cargo area hook to the system and now shows trailer connected and brakes work but seems to be delayed by about a second or two before feeling brakes apply. Brakes are strong then. Is this a good fit or do I need to install a 318-7073 cam.

Sounds like your brake controller is not compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes like your Hydrastar. The brake magnet method your RV dealer mentioned can sometimes work but the results aren't always great. The # HBA-CAM would be the best solution.
