If your having issues with your Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # 90195 showing not connected you could have a short or pinch in the wire or could have some damage or debris in the pins on the connector. I recommend starting with checking the pins to make sure they're clean and there's no damage. I also recommend using some Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, 2 oz. Item # 11755 to ensure they receive proper connectivity and to prevent corrosion.
If you're still receiving the error then you'll most likely have damage somewhere in the wiring and need to replace it. Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires Item # ETBC7 will have everything you need to replace your current wiring.
