This box is weather resistant but not waterproof. Under most circumstances your items will not get wet in a Yakima SkyBox 21, but in some driving rainstorms that may not be the case. If you feel like you will be using this box under those circumstances, Yakima recommends storing items that cannot get wet in dry bags inside your SkyBox 21. The Yakima SkyBox 21 Rooftop Cargo Box - 21 cu ft - Black Carbonite, part # Y07337, has 21 cubic feet of storage and it is a dual sided opening box. This box needs 57" of clearance between the rear of the box and the opened hatch of your vehicle. Per Yakima, this box will fit your vehicle, but my recommendation would be position it more towards the rear of the vehicle to be on the safe side.
