Will the Thule Passage 2 Trunk Mounted Bike Rack fit on a 2012 Prius V with Spoiler

Question:

I saw the picture showing the Thule Passage 2 should fit the Prius V with Spoiler, however I am just wondering when attaching the straps to the back of the spoiler, if the spoiler can hold the weight of the rack with the bikes?

As long as you do not exceed the weight capacity for the bike rack the spoiler of your 2012 Toyota Prius V should have no problem supporting the weight of your bikes when using the Thule Passage 2 # TH910XT. However, you should note that a lot of the weight of the carrier will be on the bottom feet of the carrier. It would not just be the spoiler bearing all of the weight of the rack and bikes.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes you may also be interested in purchasing a Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT. This product will provide your bike with a horizontal top tube for a bike rack to attach to. I attached a video and instructions for this product also.
