Replacement Hub and Drum Assembly For Older Drum Marked HD-1206

Question:

I have an ez load dual axle boat trailer that needs a new wheel hub and drum believe it is a dexter axle tapperd axle 51/2inch 6 bolt pattern 1/2inch bolt holes has bolts not lugs 12inch by 2 inch the number on the hub drum is hd 1206 I have been told this is an old part number not used any longer and need to know what replaces this hub and drum to order new with race bearings seal and cap thanks

The HD-1206 number you found on your drum cross references to the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb Axles - 6 on 5-1/2 # 8-201-5 which is a 12" x 2" drum with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern you mentioned but has wheel studs instead of holes for wheel bolts.

The # 8-201-5 requires inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # LM67048, grease seal # RG06-090, and grease cap # RG04-080 as these are not included.

Hello, I also have a tandem axle ez loader boat trailer with the same 6 on 5 1/2 drum but oil bath hub, with Reliable on the cap. the only number on the drum is HD-1206. im trying to find to find replacement hub, seals, cap, bearing and etc for spares. and more info as to how to service this setup. Thanks!

@Ushaan Thanks for reaching out! You can still use the replacement hub # 8-201-5. The races are already installed so you'll just need bearings # 25580 and # LM67048, along with oil seals # RG06-090, oil cap # XLPROLUBE2440, and oil # XLPROLUBE. I also included a video of the oil being installed by Conner that walks you through how to fill the hubs with oil once you've got everything installed.

@SamuelC thank you for the information. Just to make sure, there is no direct replacement for the EZ loader parts? As the current hub/drum the oil cap threads into the hub. Looks like the Kodiak system is a press fit.

@Ushaan We do not have a direct replacement as we do not sell EZ Loader parts. You could check with EZ Loader directly to see if they have an exact matching hub, but the option listed above is the only thing we have that would work.
