Can Reese Stedi-Flex Weight Distribution Hitch RP66559 Be Used With Shocker Air Hitch?
Question:
Does this require the included shank or can alternate shanks from 3rd parties rated to the correct load limits be used? I’m looking into a “shocker air hitch” and wonder if it will work? Also does this require a thin walled socket to instal the ball?

I have another option for you, but I looked up the shocker air hitch you mentioned and it is not compatible with the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 10K GTW, 1K TW # RP66559 due to it using a specific design of shank.
For a similar option that will work with the shocker air hitch I recommend the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Round Bar - 11,500 lbs GTW, 1,150 lbs TW # RE44FR as it uses the same style shank.
Shanks are universal between brands as long as they have an adequate rating and are the same style.
I included a video of the # RE44FR for you to take a look at.
