There is not a specific lift to PSI measurement of the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers - Rear Axle # AL88216 you were looking at for your 1996 GMC Sierra 2500 4WD, as it is dependent on how much weight is added to the back of your truck. You will just need to play around with the air pressure to find which pressure raises it back to the unloaded ride height.

I recommend the # AL88216 which has a 5000lb load leveling capacity which is plenty for your truck, and it has built in jounce bumpers so if a spring were to fail you wouldn't be stuck on the side of the road.

To keep from having to manually inflate the helper springs each time you have your heavy cab over installed I recommend adding an on-board air compressor like the # AL25856 which will allow you to adjust the air pressure in each pressure independently from the comfort of your driver seat.

I included videos for both of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
