How to Pick Out Trailer Axle for Older Trailer
Question:
Hello, I hope this message finds you well. I am wondering if a Dexter D35 axle would be the correct choice for a 1954 Spartan Royal Mansion 37FT trailer and what would the complete list of items I would need incl electric brakes etc? If not could you please advise, we are looking to replace both axles and the complete brake system electric . Thank you very much for your reply. To pick out a replacement axle we need three pieces of info. We need the distance from hub face to hub face, from spring center to spring center, and we need to know the capacity of the axle. The capacity would be listed on a plate/sticker on the axle. I attached a picture that shows where you'd need to measure as well.
If you can get back to me with that info I can see if we have an axle. Or you can check out the link I attached to see all of the axles we offer. Some of which have brake assemblies and hub/drums installed already. We don't have a way to look up what axle would fit your trailer though.
