Can Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform Fit on Top of Truck Bed Camper

Question:

Hi. I have an 8’ Leer 100XL topper that I would like to mount the aforementioned hardware to. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the size of the platform rack I’m looking for comes in a kit with the two included. Questions is, is there any reason I shouldn’t mount the backbone directly to the topper, and then the platform rack to that? My plan is to mount a 1-1/2 wide aluminum plate the length of the backbone, both underneath the backbone on top roof, as well as at the underside inside of the topper, where the backbone would attach. Please let me know. Thank you.

There are several different ways to install a Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack on the roof of your truck bed topper. I recommend using the track system as this will work the best for your application. In order to install the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack part # RR75TB you will also need to install a set of tracks such as the Rhino-Rack RTC-Style Roof Rack Tracks part # RTC14 and then legs # RLTP (x2).

The tracks once installed will give you a very versatile mounting system on the roof of your topper which can be used for crossbars or the above platform rack. The Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack is specifically designed to be used with the track style rails and will give you a platform that is 84 by 56 inches.
