Torque Ratings for Front Anti-Sway Bar on 2019 Ford E-Series Van Cutaway Chassis

Question:

The Front Sway Bar Bushing Clamps on my 2017 Ford E-450 Super Duty Chassis based Class C have 18mm bolts front and 15mm at the rear of the clamp. The Roadmaster Installation instructions that came with Roadmaster anti sway bar includes torque specifications for a 10mm bolt at the rear and 14mm at the front. I figure Ford must have beefed up this sway bar bushing clamp to frame detail since the instructions were written. Any chance you know what the tightening torque for my size clamp bolts should be, I do not want to risk stripping the relatively few threads in the frames metal by over tightening. Thanks.

When Roadmaster refers to a 10 and a 14 mm bolt, they're referring to the diameter of the threaded portion of the bolt, not the size of the bolt head or the size wrench needed to install or remove the bolt. If you measure the diameter of the bolts you found, I'm confident you'll find that the diameters match what's referred to in the instructions, which means you'll want to observe the torque figures mentioned in the instructions. I've linked to a video showing a typical installation.
