Husky typically recommend using the custom installation kits on newer trucks because they are much easier to install, but the Universal Base Rail and Installation Kit, # HT31563-686, can be used on your 2012 Ford F-350.

Unfortunately Husky does not have specific measurements for the base rails available for your 2012 Ford F-350 to install the universal kit, but I can tell you that the center of the base rails should be about 2 inches in front of your rear axle and the base rails should be 22 inches apart on center. You can use these two measurements to determine the location for your base rails and frame brackets.

Drilling into the truck frame will be required to install the frame brackets. If you would like a fifth wheel installation kit that does not require any drilling into the frame, then I would recommend looking at the Reese Custom Install Kit, # RP50026-58. This kit uses the industry standard base rails and custom frame brackets reducing the installation time and difficulty.

I have attached an installation video of the Reese custom install kit on a 2012 F-250 for you to check out. The installation process will be the same as the F-350.
