Will My Brake Lights Still Function Normally When Using a Curt Echo

Question:

Does the Curt Echo trigger the brake lights when braking if the blue brake wire is not hooked up to my 7 pin adapter? Thanks.

The 7 way connector on your vehicle will have its' own brake light circuits and the only thing the Curt Echo doesn't use is the brake control circuit, and instead uses an accelerometer to gauge the proportion the brakes need to be applied. The brake lights will still be transmitted from your vehicle to the towed trailer, and the brake lights would function even without a brake controller.
