Will the Rhino-Rack Roof Mount Cargo Basket RMCB02 Fit a 2008 Jeep Commander

Will this rack fit on a 2008 jeep commander if yes can I mount my kayak mounts on it .

The Rhino-Rack cargo basket, # RMCB02, will fit on crossbars that are up to 3-1/2 inches wide x 1-1/4 inches tall. And the crossbar spread needs to be 25 to 44 inches center to center between the bars. You will need to measure the crossbars on your 2008 Jeep Commander to determine fit.

If you do not have a roof rack on your Jeep then you can add one. I have included a link to the roof rack main page for your vehicle. Since there are so many possible roof configurations you will need to make sure to select the appropriate one before seeing the options.

You may not be able to attach your kayak carriers to this basket depending on how they mount. The basket was not really designed for that type of load so you would be better off with a kayak carrier that attaches directly to a roof rack or naked roof.
