Mounting a Pontoon Boat to the CE Smith CE48810
Question:
I bought the ce multi-sport plus trailer. I initially had the bunks flat and straight front to back right next to each other so that they fit in the middle between the pontoons of the boat. Similar to how they set it up for the twin troller boat. It seemed to sit too low even with the tall brackets as the pontoons were resting in between the fenders on the trailer. So I spaced the bunks out further on the smaller brackets so that each pontoon laid flat on top of the bunks. The boat is at a good height now and seems to be nice and level. I am just trying to figure out if that was the best way to set that up? I have never had a boat or trailer, and I guess it kind of made me nervous the boat could slip off the bunks or something. Of course, I have the boat strapped to the trailer and winched in. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you

The bunk boards on the CE Smith # CE48810 can actually be mounted in which ever way suits your needs best. Though most people will mount the bunk boards inside the pontoons, you do want the boat sitting as flat as possible. That being said, it sounds like the way you currently have it configured is the best way. As to the boat slipping off, as long as the boat is strapped down, it will not come off.
