How to Mount the Rhino-Rack Cargo Bag with a Thule Sidekick Cargo Box on a Roof Rack

I have a Thule Sidekick Cargo Box on my Honda CRV. But, I need more camping stuff on the roof now that I have inflatable kayaks to carry in the back of the vehicle. Can I put a Rhino Rack Cargo Bag the narrow one next to the Cargo Box on the roof?

If you have the Thule Sidekick Cargo Box, part # TH78GC, mounted on your Honda CRV and want to add the Rhino-Rack Cargo Bag, part # RRLB200, there are two things you need to know.

The first is that the Rhino-Rack Cargo Bag cannot be used on its own on a roof rack. In order to use it, you'll need a cargo basket. I recommend the Yakima SkinnyWarrior, part # Y07014. It fits factory bars and is our thinnest cargo basket.

That leads me to the second thing you need to know. In order to mount both of these, you'll need to account for how much space your crossbars have across. The Sidekick is 25" wide and the SkinnyWarrior is 23". So, you'll need to make sure you have at least 48" of crossbar space to mount both.
