How to Carry Four Bikes on 2014 VW Golf Wagon
Question:
I see from other answers on this site that it is possible to carry 4 bikes on a 2014 VW Golf Wagon using a hitch mounted rack. Could you tell me please what hitch assembly and recommended racks would work best. Two of the bikes are women’s style. Do you also sell the cross bar accessory?

So the answers you are referencing are referring to a VW Golf Sportwagen, not a Golf Wagon; this is a different vehicle that debuted in 2015 and has a 2 inch hitch receiver available. Your 2014 VW Golf cannot carry four bikes with a hitch mounted rack, because it only has a Class I hitch available, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11474.
This will allow you to use a 2-bike rack only that is compatible with a Class I hitch, the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY94FR.
Then in order to carry two more bikes, your 2014 Golf Wagon would need to add a roof rack, and to do that your wagon would need raised side rails. Then you could add the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG216 with a pair of the Swagman Upright Bike Rack # S64720.
