Which Yakima OverHaul HD Ladder Rack Should you Get for your 2020 Ram 3500

Question:

2020 Ram 3500 6 1/2 ft bed. Which length of top bars should I purchase, 68” or 78” with the Yakima HD Overhaul setup? Bed width is 66.4 inches. In photos it looks like the riser arms are angled/tilted inward to bed, so actual width of rack will be narrower than my 66.4in bed...so the 68” top bars should be sufficient length?

Your are correct that the Yakima OverHaul HD has two lengths available for your 2020 Ram 3500 6-1/2' bed.

You are also correct that the arms angle inward, but that has no effect on the length on the crossbars. Both the 68" version, part # Y01151-58, and the 78" version, part # Y01151-59, will fit just fine on your bed.

Really, the only concern for you is how much crossbars length you want. If you're wanting the 68" version, know that this will work with no problem. The 68", when centered, will spread almost completely even over your bed. The 78" will extend a little on both sides. Some people prefer flush while others prefer to have the most crossbar space they can.
