What is the Length of the Side Straps on the Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag?
Question:
I have a roof rack like the one in the picture. This bag seems perfect in terms of quality, size and ruggedness to take offroad. The question I have is regarding securing it to the roof rack pictured, specifically on the sides. I would take the straps around the outer frame for securing the side straps, but the question is if they will be long enough. The width of the rack is 53 inches and my understanding is the width of the bag is 37-1/2 in. How long are the side straps?

Expert Reply:
I had a teammate measure the side straps of the Rhino-Rack Rooftop Cargo Bag # RRLB350, and the straps measure 26 inches. Given that the width of the bag is 37-1/2 inches, that leaves a combined length of 63.5 inches. This measurement will give you plenty of side strap length to attach the straps to the outer frame (if your bag is centered on the platform).
