How To Identify Which Curt Gooseneck Hitch I have To Get The Correct Curt X5 5th Wheel Adapter
Question:
I have a Curt double lock gooseneck hitch and would like to buy the Curt X5 fifth wheel adapter. I am not sure if I need the C16210 or C16220 adapter and there are no stickers or tags left on my hitch to identify if I have the standard hitch or the EZR. Is there a way I can measure the locking pin height to top of the truck bed or some other way to identify which adapter I need? Thanks

The easiest way to determine which Curt Gooseneck Hitch you have in your truck is to look at the safety chain loops compared to the gooseneck ball hole.
If the safety loops are offset from the ball hole, and pretty small in comparision you have the Double Lock and will need the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # C16210.
If the safety loops are in-line with the gooseneck hole and are the same size as the gooseneck hole then you have the EZr Double Lock and will need the # C16220.
I included a diagram that shows both of the gooseneck hitches for you to compare yours too, and videos for both of the X5 adapters for you to take a look at.
