How Do I Measure a Spare-Tire Clearance for a Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack on a 2011 Navion?

Question:

My 2011 Navion has a spare tire mounted on the rear, over the hitch. The question is will this rack S94FR provide enough clearance to accommodate the tire. Im not currently with the vehicle so I cant actually measure the space needed to clear the spare but was hoping for some guidance anyway. next question is, what is the max width this rack will handle regarding the bikes tires. We plan to mount 2 Rad Minis one regular and one step through. I see theres a fat tire wheel adapter that goes to 5, but i cant see what the standard wheel holder will take. The tires are 3.5inch wide.

The measurement that you need to figure out if the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # S94FR will clear a spare tire above the hitch is the measurement of the shank from the center of the pinhole to the closest part of the rack (while folded up or folded down). The dimension that you will need is the closest part of the E-Spec while folded up, which is 10-1/2 inches. In order to make sure it will clear the spare tire, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hold to the outermost part of the tire must be less than 10-1/2 inches.

The maximum tire width for the E-Spec is 3 inches. For a 3-1/2 inch wide tire, you will need to purchase the Fat Tire Adapter Kit for Swagman G10 and E-Spec Bike Racks # S64679.
