Troubleshooting the Installation of Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
Do I need to connect brake power on trailer to tow vehicle in order to power on the p3 after installing? I just installed p3 and it doesnt power on, but I havent connected trailer to tow vehicle yet.

You will need to have the trailer connected to the tow vehicle to provide feedback and set the brake controller. However, the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller, # 90195, should be powered and have illuminated indicators once the engine is started if a trailer is connected or not.
