Can HM39524 Brake Buddy Flat Towing Braking System Effectively Apply Brakes with Vehicle Off

Question:

Since most vehicles come with Power Brakes, and the engine has to be running for the power assist, and without the engine running no power assist, ... does the Brake Buddy have enough energy to push the brake pedal. My experience shows I have to really push extremely hard on the pedal to stop a vehicle with out engine running. I would want my engine running all day while under tow for hours.

When braking systems like the # HM39524 Brake Buddy Select 3 are designed, the engineers know that with the vehicle not running, there won't be any brake assist. Portable braking systems such as the Brake Buddy Select 3 will have no problem whatsoever exerting enough pressure on the brake pedal for safe and effective braking. The brakes still work, more force just needs to be applied to the pedal which systems like this have no problem doing.

Bottom line, you don't need to run the engine, and a portable braking system like the # HM39524 will work just fine for you.
