Do You Know How to Fasten a Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter Plate to a 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500?

I received my hitch adapter plate about a week ago, and just getting around to installing. I have tried every angle and position possible, but the latch/lock pucks will not align to go into the EOM Mounting holes. It the position on the adapter is about 1/16inch narrower than the EOM Mounts. I have read through the instructions and it appears that the only adjustment is to the latch/lock height to ensure a snug latch. Any advice on further adjustments possible? 2020 Chevy 2500 HD with EOM 5th Wheel prep package.

I went ahead and called my contact at Demco, and he said that this problem is almost always solved by making sure that the four arm bolts on the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 21K # DM6333 are completely loose when aligning them with the OEM mounting holes.
