Question:
Is it possible to use a Hopkins 46255 to bypass the tipm.if you disconnect the wires from tipm and tie in to existing wires at 7 prong plug. It seems helpful to use 46255 to not overload truck signal system? THANKS For your assistance!

Yes if you wanted to bypass the TIPM of your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 you could with the Hopkins trailer wiring harness part # 46255 that you referenced. This is a great solution since the TIPM can be frustrating to deal with and forces you to go to a Ram dealer for a reset if a trailer wiring circuit is overloaded or shorted.
