Can the Tightness of Bulldog A-Frame Trailer Coupler BD43805W0317 be Adjusted

Re coupler, part # BD43805W0317 Is there an adjustment underneath to really sync it tight with the ball? I cant see from the pictures.

The latch mechanism on the Bulldog coupler # BD43805W0317 is a basic latch like # F660801. There is some adjustment available, nothing underneath, but it is basically just the threaded part that holds the top and bottom sections together than can be adjusted.
The coupler, when secured around the ball, needs to be able to move around the ball, just not pull up and off of it. If it was tight around the ball it would bind up and something would break because trailers need to move and pivot and it does that at the ball.
