There are several differnt ways you can go with this, I will list a few and their features. The first is my preferred route providing it is in the acceptable price point. The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional, # SM99251. With this you get automatic, proportional braking with a system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset. The DUO activates when your RV's brake lights go on and an inertia sensor in the towed car detects deceleration. It is a one-time setup - no need to remove or to activate each time you tow. The con with this is once installed you will incur expense if you change tow vehicle. Otherwise, if you intend to keep the same two vehicle for an expended period this will become very convenient.

The next option is the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System - Proportional, # HM39524. With this option you get intense, emergency braking or steady, smooth braking in a single portable system. You can easily switch between proportional or full braking. A one-touch Auto Start makes setup fast and easy and the remote lets you change settings from your RV.

The last option is also in the higher price point but well worth it, the Roadmaster BrakeMaster Braking System with BrakeAway for RVs with Hydraulic Brakes - Proportional, # RM-9060. This truly proportional braking system connects directly to your motor home's hydraulic brakes and applies the brakes in your towed car using the same force that you apply to the brakes in your RV. Lightweight actuator removes for storage.
