Where Does The Red Rocker Switch Wire Attach To When Installing SuperWinch LT2000?

I trying to use a winch to pull a platform on a mobile home ramp and not sure where to conect the little red cable that is on the racker shwich

When installing the Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch # 1120210 on atv's or offroad vehicles, the red wire on the rocker switch typically connects to a wire that gets power only when the ignition switch is turned on. When using this winch on a trailer or other application that does not have an ignition switch, you can just run it to the positive terminal on the battery that it is connected to and install a toggle switch in between so that you can switch the winch on and off, then actually control it with the included remote. I attached a wiring diagram and video for you.

attached red wire directly to the positive post on the battery. the solenoid only clicked when activated. Tied red wire to cig lighter hot side solenoid did same thing only clicked Winch fine when I attached battery cables directly to neg and pos post. What am I doing wrong???

@FletcherB Normally (not always) if the solenoid clicks, it means the solenoid is working as it should. I would check your wiring and make sure all connections are clean and tight, and everything matches the diagram. You could have a faulty on/off toggle switch or other component failing, but it's hard to say without more info and pictures of the setup.
